CeciliaMarkne Posted August 6, 2016 Share Posted August 6, 2016 So I was finishing up KOFTE with my Imp Agent tonight. Well at least I thought I was. At the start of Chapter I of KOFTE (when your char reaches the door to the emperor while being escorted by Arcann) the game froze. It did NOT freeze the entire computor so I tabed out and brought the game down through the task manager. I restarted the game, logged back in and got to play the chapter without problems. Now it freezes on chapter two, during the "loadingscreen". So I tab out and repeat the above only this time it continues to freeze. Tried once more without luck. Cleared the BitRaidermap in case that was the problem but without luck. Cleared the BitRaidermap and restarted my comp. No luck. Googled the problem but can only find issues like this from 2015 which are a bit out of date tbh and none seemingly touched my issue. I do not know if this is narrowed to only this char (Khat'lixia, fem Zabrak, imperial agent: sniper, lvl 65, on the EU-server "The Red Eclipse") or if it spans my whole account. I have a screenshot from when it freezes but I doubt it'll help you much but I still wanted to let you know. And just so we are clear, I have never had this issue before. Even though I am on a crappy laptop. To really cover all bases I got the DXDiag for you too, buuuut. Tried lowering all gfx settings ? Yes yes what you said about triggering a repair. map= swedish.. I'm a bit tired as it seems and I accidentally mixed in some swedish My bad! It doesn't work even if I have the lowest of low and as I said, I have never had this issue before. To clear this up I have 3 lvl 65 who have all progressed through all chapters available with the settings I currently have so that should not be the issue. Ok. so judging by your first line in I'll just take this problem and go elsewhere for info... "answers at EA" hasn't given me a solution that has actually worked in years but yea... OwenBrooks Posted August 6, 2016 Share Posted August 6, 2016 (edited) I post in EA Answers HQ as well, I dont always look here as this bug report forum is just for reporting bugs per this link If you go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\BioWare\Star Wars-The Old Republic\swtor with the game closed and delete the file called diskcachearena then start the launcher see if that helps You can also attach the dxdiag over there too , most issues of this nature are usually players with intel video cards.
