As soon as you hit the Imperial Fleet Space Station proper (meaning you have to leave the hanger area down the elevators) you will see a guy with a quest.. you can't miss him. He will go tell you to talk to a special trainer who forces you to make the choice. After you make your choice dont forget to do the following: 1) Check your inventory.
