I am currently running in Windowed (fullscreen) due to issues starship missions and the game crashing when I accidentially click outside the screen..... full computer specs: 2 X EVGA SC 970 4GB in SLI AMD FX 8370 32GB RAM 1866mhz Asus Sabertooth 990fx r2.
chrisbeale
attempted to run in full screen...this did not fix issue and resulting crash forced me to restart entire computer as I was met with a lovely grey screen and cursor after attempting to close the task...in windowed mode I can just end the task in task manager with no issues. this is a game breaking bug
dr_mike
Try forcing a repair - http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=729911 May also want to install something like GPU-Z and see what temperatures you;re getting if you haven't done that already. Also check to see if anything is getting dropped into your log files in the log subdirectory under where you have swtor installed. chrisbeale
will try repair install, but can rule out temp, I run Core temp at all times, CPU is water cooled and non-overclocked and rarely hits 40c at the moment its 19c, in terms of graphics that on a high end game sometimes hit high 70s BUT I have the fans start up much earlier than they are supposed to be set (they usually only turn on at 60c with the EVGA gtx 970 SC ACX 2.0 fans) and my fans did not start their audible whine which means they was likely running at about 40-50c
