Trimantium Blaster Rifle is invisible

Just that. This item cannot be seen on my character's back, nor does it appear in his hands while wielding it. Basically, I bought this weapon for its looks and now I can't see it. A very faint outline appears where the weapon should be, but mostly it just looks like my character is holding nothing. I'm very disappointed because I'd been saving this item for the day when he'd be high enough to use it. This is am armstech crafted item.

 

Edit: I've been playing around with the rifle more and it appears to blink in and out of existence, so sometimes it's visible and sometimes not. It also has a strange texture overlay to it, like a whole bunch of tiny glowing dots.
