Collection of bugs

Im only playing for three months again but the list of very annoying every day bugs must be revealed!

 

Strongholds

- talos drelik, yuun and ozyn miss alot of clothing in strongholds after placing them. The issue doesnt persist through relogging

- the galactic stronghold name most of the time doesnt disappear unless the player moves around or turns the camera excessivly. It does not disappear on its own by just entering/logging into the stronghold! It prevents click throughs and the rest of the interface has to be adjusted to move around that issue like achievements

- in edit mode, the category and subcategory selections reset to default setting or switch to a random selection when selecting another block of a different kind than the current selected block

 

Companions

- players that have no target during combat and receive a shield from players or companions automaticaly target that player or companion

- companions in healing spec sometimes are able to taunt enemies or just create an excessive amount of threat above that of a player that does more damage than the companion is actually healing

- buffs disappear from companions when dismounting when they were buffed before mounting on chars

- dismissed companions return automaticaly when a player ports to another location like from stronghold to fleet, when dismounting and when dismissed right before a conversation

- while on the ship the companion customization screen doesnt allow to unify colors

- after dismounting out of combat or changing a weapon crystal a companion in healing role shields the player because a less than 1% HP difference occurs on the player which is healed the moment the companion shields the player which also triggers the companion panic shoutout

- companions in healer spec can crowd control NPCs and it overwrites player crowd control regardless if the player already used it on the same NPC

- disabling abilities on the companion bar doesnt carry over to the next session and sometimes not even until the next time the player dismounts without switching the companion

 

Interface

- galactic trade network doesnt remember the sorting between sessions

- character sheet doesnt save between sessions which lists in the lower window has been chosen for inquisitors, warrior, consulars, jedi knight. Right list always displays defense and left list always displays melee by default. On a mercenary, operative, smuggler it has ranged left and tech right.

- opening character sheet for the first time in a session doesnt show the "ship" tab. Closing and reopening character sheet fixes this

- the cooldown effect on buffs resets after relogging and also on several loading screens during a session making it useless to determine the actual time remaining on all buffs. A timer or no reset of the effect is required. The current system is useless as soon as a player logs out

- the camera has three individual settings for distance: one for mounted, one for walking and one for on the taxi. Leaving the taxi or dismounting changes the distance for walking

- the mission log and legacy window are resetting personal mission and achievement groups that have been closed once the window is closed

- directional arrows at the outer borders of the map cant be clicked most of the time unless you find the exact pixel that allows the player to interact with that directional arrow

- the friendslist doesnt always update with the social center bar. Social center says friend is online but the friends list only contains offline chars when only one friend is online

- galactic trade network doesnt care if the search parameter are set to display only custom armor or prototype. It still shows artifact

- guild windows dont save if "show offline members" has been selected in the former session

 

Transportation

- after a flashpoint the exit port moves the player to the fleet hangar to korriban/hutta departures (as imp) regardless where the player was when he/she got ported into the flashpoint and which option was chosen at the exit of the flashpoint

- be anywhere in the galaxy, port to stronghold, exit stronghold via minimap, select return to point of origin, end up at point of origin, port back to stronghold, log off, wait couple hours, log in, exit stronghold, be at planets spaceport inside your class hangar on the planet of your stronghold not at point of origin. Only affects the first logged in char. Doesnt affect the char after that

 

Graphics

- lower parts of most robes robes like eradicators, exterminators and premium robes get stuck on the left or right side of the legs when running. Standing still until the game gravity corrects it or jumping usually fixes this

- when a player destroys a console or similar mission objects with a lightsaber, the weapon remains in the hand with appropriate sound and the char is acting like the weapon is not drawn

 

Outfits

- exterminators cuirass and similar robes set their own gloves model regardless what the player actually chooses

- opening the gear preview window (ctrl + click) for the first time during a session sometimes shows the char from the back with a dark backround and missing lighting. Closing and reopening the window fixes this

- lower robes nullify players choice of boots, turning boots into standard versions and "appropriate" coloring

 

Misc

- only a modification of a config file allows for less than crazy camera speeds even if the ingame setting is set to 0%

- sometimes seeker droids pin down something, shake at the final location like they found a creature and then retreat without any further action or digging out what they found or not found

- sometimes seeker droids point into a direction and one or two scans later the current location is void of anything (when nobody else is around)

- there is a hidden mechanic when players jump right at the end of whatever platform they are standing which affects jumping. When not jumping the character can stand nearly over a meter past the actual end of the platform in mid air. But jumping from the edge results in the player not jumping (and falling), jumping far or jumping far but not as high as usual rather in a straight line forward

- more than 90% of all screenshots are lost/not taken and cant be saved via paint or other tools. Screenshots of cinematics cant be created. Screenshots of standing around and sometimes during combat works

- the client sometimes cant establish a connection with the server. "This application has encountered an unspecified error. Please try this patch again". Restarting the client shows an UI error. Deleting the bitraider folder in the main swtor directory results in the client reinstalling the bitraider folder and then login works. Or the client repairs itself on the next attempts

- the backround animation of the fighter launching on the char creation screen looks like a slideshow

- there is no level up sound while on a player ship

 

The login char list needs an option to be locked and manually sorted. The chaos is absolutely confusing and unnecessary. I write it seperatly because I cant think of one reasonable reason why anyone would create such a feature like it currently is intentionally!

You should have read this prior to making your list.

 

Specifically:

Inappropriate Threads and Posts:

 

  • "Compilation" threads consisting of more than one bug. There are certain threads of this nature that are allowed (for example, the "Codex and Achievement" thread), but this is at our discretion. Unique bugs should generally get unique threads.

Why not collecting them to see what is all wrong with this game?

As if it helps to make unique posts about every bug, most of the time there isn't anyone replying either...

Most of them are cast aside -.-

 

You could add the Crafting Missions Bug, where newly bought Missions vanish after the next Login.

Bought Bioanalysis 2-7 and only Grade 2 is showing. Same with Diplomacy...

Fix this please ASAP!

1) Because that doesn't do anything to actually help the situation. Been doing tech support for over 2 decades and stuff like this is just ignored.

 

Most of these have been reported previously anyway.

 

2) Devs aren't here anyway. The forums are almost completely player helping player now anyway. Look at the dev tracker and see the little one of them now posts. They rarely pay any attention to the bug reports.
