I *just* entered The Gauntlet in the Trooper class quest, "Battle of the Gauntlet" story line. You go in and your whole group is there waiting to battle a large amount of enemies. The battle starts. And.... all of your waiting companions (Jorgan, Dorne, M1-4X, Tano) start PUNCHING the badguys instead of using their weapons. Yes, all of them had weapons equipped. You could even see Tano's big sword there on his back. But he was busy punching people instead of using it.
