Error 208 killed my game.

I really have no pleasure to open up this topic one more time but here I am, the latest victim of so called "connection issue" named error 208, which I received yesterday for the first time in 4+ years of playing SWTOR. The game worked two days ago like it always did, but now I just can't go past login on launcher. I've already read everything I could find on the forums, tried every single solution with no success. My internet connection is fine, all ports the game needs are open both on firewall and router, both launcher.exe and swtor.exe are allowed to do anything they want on my PC, BitTrader folder is deleted... I even tried free vpn tool but it didn't helped at all.

 

From the logs I see that the deal is with that patchmanifest file the launcher constanly fails to download, though I can download it manually using Chrome or IE or any other browser. What's strange is that after numerous tries I had finally successfully entered the game yesterday before I went to sleep. But it happened only once and never repeated again.

I'm frustrated, lost last 2 days of BH week and have no idea what to do next. Of course I always can delete the entire game and try to re-install it but right now I'm not sure that the launcher will be able to do that. And even if it will be able to download almost 30 GB, I'm not sure the error will not persist. So I really hope for help and suggestions from someone in BioWare or from you guys in SWTOR community. In my case it's probably the only thing right now I can do myself anyway.))

which probably means that I don't have problems with my connection (at least part of them) any more. Then I started launcher and received another error 208 message almost immediately, but after I tried to enter my password and security key code, the launcher just let me in and started downloading. Eventually, I deleted the game yesterday evening so I have to re-install SWTOR. It seems that the process is going like it should, although I have some reasonable doubts about my ability to launch the game after installation. You know, I still have no idea why the game broke down initially (I didn't tweak anything in my router for about 18 months before I get first error 208 on Monday) and if the cause has been solved. So let's see what happens next. Hopefully I will be able to play the game in couple of hours.

Edit - ahh just re-read and it sounds like you are good now.
