Croble_Geddoss
I don't think that this is a bug, but I didn't find any other Forum Topic more appropriate. The thing is that I subscribed yesterday and was in a middle of an adventure. When I logged in to the game, now the same enemies kill me MUCH MORE EASILY. I'm level 50 on Illum. I thought it's really odd that after subscribing, my character is a lot weaker, somehow. When playing as a Free-to-play user, I was breezing through the missions, I finished them very easily. No I can't beat an enemy with 12000 XP. Does anyone have a clue to why this could have happened? Are levels different for F2P and subscribers? It is really annoying to have payed just to have a weaker character. Thank you!
Elizeth
Interesting. Is your character's equipment all in working order? Usually when someone becomes squishy it is because all their gear is broken. Edited January 19, 2016 by Elizeth grammar
Croble_Geddoss
Thanks for the quick answer. Yes, my equipment was all at 0, but it must have been because of the ease the enemy had of hitting me. But anyway, after repairing my equipment, the way the enemy got at me was very noticeable compared to before I subscribed, Edited January 19, 2016 by Croble_Geddoss
Elizeth
I think there are a number of factors that would make the game feel this way. I will go through a couple. Illum was End Game content. Illum was originally made harder than other planets because it was designed to be the most challenging planet before the expansions were released. The level cap. On Illum the level cap is closer to the level of the enemies. I recall the cap being only level 52 against level 50 enemies. Other planets yet you get as much as 8 levels higher than the enemies. Gear gap. The gear that is available on Illum is really very poor quality. It hasn't been scaled to match the gear curve of later content. Check the (Rating xxx) on your gear compared to what is available on the Galactic Trade Network. There can be as much as a 30% difference between same level items. How it helps. Croble_Geddoss
Thanks. I understand the factors. What intrigues me is that I was already playing in Illum as F2P and died fighting a boss. I then was transported to the medical center. I exited the game, subscribed and tried the same mission again. I still haven't been able to reach the boss because I die against the guards at the entrance. Before subscribing, I could easily defeat enemies with 25000 XP (though it took me long, but I almost didn't loose health). Now I die fighting grunts with 4000 XP. Elizeth
Are you doing a solo flashpoint? If you die don't forget to resummon the combat support droid. Edited January 19, 2016 by Elizeth grammar
Croble_Geddoss
No. I'm just playing the first story mission on Illum.
Croble_Geddoss
I now noticed something... why is it that beside my level (I'm level 51, it says "your level has been switched to 42"). What does it mean?
Damask_Rose
I now noticed something... why is it that beside my level (I'm level 51, it says "your level has been switched to 42"). What does it mean? That is level-sync in action. When you out-level a planet you get reduced in level so you can continue getting xp., but you shouldn't be sync'd to 42 on Ilum. If you are now showing 42 on Ilum, you are indeed bugged.
Croble_Geddoss
Ooooh ok. I was on Hoth when I saw this. That makes sense. I still die easily on Illum though.
