Once again, I find myself abandoned by family who promised "this is the MMO for all of us". Honestly, they can't figure out why they can't can afford what they need, after dumping hundreds of all into MMOs they eventually end up leaving? Ah, well. Tank or DPS doesn't matter, with the current state companions are in. If you mean PvP, you can take either shield specialist or tactics. Both will be a bit harder without your own pocket heals, but both are viable, pack a punch and have good survivability. Plasmatech is harder to use in PvP, and is much less mobile.
