Unable to commit to a discipline after character restore

I had a Scoundrel restored a few weeks ago, and I've been really wanting to play her but since the restore I have not been able to commit to a discipline.

I know the issue and various works around with the utilities and have tried them all to no avail.

I submitted a bug report a couple weeks ago but as of today there has been no fix :(

Does anyone else have this issue, or know some work-around?

I am having the same issue with several of my level 55 characters. All the others were able to commit and spend the points. Trying desperately to find an answer to this issue.

 

I was told by a customer service rep to make sure the tickets are not marked as "Bug Reports" when submitted. Those are never answered and the information is just filed for later use.

I too am having this issue with my main character - Sith Sorceror.

 

My ticket has been open for a month now... I'm very annoyed because I'm paying for this game and expect a quicker resolution. Can't a GM just spec my character for me?
