Scorpio hasn't had a memory wipe, so how could "she" forget how to use a tech staff? I mean, if they wanted to change the weapon for the companion they should do it for 1-65. My Operative reacquired Scorpio during KOTFE and she's decked out with a rifle. Meanwhile, I just got SCORPIO on my sniper - and she comes equipped with - a Techstaff. So.... it should stay consistent. Also, there is a whole big companion dialogue with Corso re his pistol in 1-50 content. Rather jarring to see him with a rifle instead.
