And her default state (weaponless) has no weapon either, she punches with a fist. Prior before this I could equip blaster pistol on her and now I can't anymore, it says "lack the skill to use this weapon". Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Jedi_riches Posted October 21, 2015 Share Posted October 21, 2015 Its not a bug 4.0 changed the weapons that some companions use it looks like 4.0 swapped Kaliyo's blaster pistol proficiency to sniper rifles, pity I did like Kaliyo using the revolver type blaster from the cartel market. NPC Changes Some companions can now equip multiple weapon types: Gault Rennow now uses Blaster Rifles and Sniper Rifles. Kaliyo Djannis now uses Blaster Rifles and Sniper Rifles. Lieutenant Felix Iresso now uses Blaster Rifles and Sniper Rifles. Qyzen Fess now only uses Techblades. Zenith now uses Blaster Rifles and Sniper Rifles. T7-01 now only uses Blaster Rifles. Lieutenant Pierce now uses Blaster Rifles and Sniper Rifles. Corso Riggs now uses Blaster Rifles and Sniper Rifles. Risha now uses Blaster Rifles and Sniper Rifles. Aric Jorgan now uses Blaster Rifles and Sniper Rifles. Yuun now only uses Techblades. C2-N2 now only uses a single Blaster Pistol. 2V-R8 now only uses a single Blaster Pistol. How do you know which weapons she can use? I can't find that info under her companion abilities. It used to list weapon proficiency under companion abilities but that's no longer the case. I don't but I have to guess on most based on the weapon they were using before unless they were mentioned on the list above as specifically having their weapons changed. Jules_Feoredi Posted October 21, 2015 Author Share Posted October 21, 2015 well look what they did! now in cutscenes, kaliyo holds blaster rifles like she is holding a pistol one handed lmao. it looks so wrong! why oh why did they have to break the game... i mean there is nothing wrong with kaliyo using blaster pistols. why change it and introduce bugs in the process for an unnecessary change? egokrat Posted October 24, 2015 Share Posted October 24, 2015 The change in Kalyo's weapons seems very odd since there were specific blasters for her. I now have "Kaliyo's Reliable Blaster" which she can't equip anymore. Also it would be good if there was a way to actually see what types they can use in companion skills or at least in the codex entries with the character bio.
