Nayparm
I have been wondering this for a while. I know that living on Tatooine is possible due to the use of moisture farming which the stronghold is capable of doing however most of the stronghold is below ground and next to what appears to be the Dune Sea. My question is, if a sandstorm kicked up, would the underground segments of this stronghold get buried, rendering it unlivable.... Thoughts? Nefla
I think being built into the mountainside would protect it from all but one direction but it still seems a lot more secure than Owen and Beru's moisture farm out in the open.
Anysao
Good question... It really is a gamble, isn't it? On one hand, a sand storm can only hit from one side considering the place is built into a mountain. But that also means that if the sand is blown through that one direction, there would be a massive pile-up in between the cliffs. My money is on that there's a shield-dome around your stronghold. In fact, you're probably not even on Tatooine! That never-ending sand crawler loop in the distance is just trying to convince you: congratulations, friend. Your stronghold may be the Star Wars version of the Truman Show.
