I think his character was maybe wasted, he could have potentially been a great part of the False Emperor story. He died to showcase Malgus' power and development but I think he might have been better used to continue to show Malgus' development like showing them both continually compete. For anyone who hasn't read the book, he's the Sith in the Deceived trailer that does the bad*ss front flip and slams his fist into the ground in between the troops and sends them flying with the shockwave.
