Sonic rebounder give threat to healer

Can anybody explain how it possible?

Our merc healer get 3.3kk threat from sonic rebounder on monolith

also we receive curse on tank many time

The reflected damage is added to the player who reflects it, not to the player who applied Sonic Rebounder.

Ok, 3.3m threat from a sinlge Sonic Rebounder is a bit insane. oO

 

This line from combat log is interesting:

22:09:26.603	@Alkiona	Colossal Monolith	Sonic Rebounder	ApplyEffect : Damage (6370 internal (reflected )) <3387695>

 

He reflected 6370 internal damge with Sonic Rebounder and gained 3,3m threat with it.

Something's really fishy, here.

This was already discussed in the PvE forums here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=818170

 

It looks like there is a cap on the reflected damage but not on the threat. But in this case, since the damage comes from the Curse, there is something fishy going on. Only DPS can get the Curse, so if a healer takes damage from it, it must be because he was too close to a player with the curse I believe.

My group has also seen this happening and the tank just taunts back when it happens.

Curse of the Monolith is the healing debuff, not the dot. @Jerba
