[Bug] Commando's Hail of Bolts not as powerful as Merc's Sweeping Blasters

I am reposting this from the Merc/Mando forums.

 

(Comparing Hail of Bolts to Sweeping Blasters)

"commando with the 186 barrel in mh-----1487-2057

mercanary with the 186 barrel in mh-----2125-2915"

 

So either it's a tooltip bug or a "real" bug, which is correct is currently unknown.

I believe this is related to the Commando only having a mainhand blaster while Mercs are able to Dual Wield but I'm not 100% sure. Edited March 7, 2015 by Jerba

no, its not and if it was, it be the other way around.

Posted it in PTS Bug Reports thread, but I guess it's more visible here. I tested Sweeping Blasters and Hail of Bolts on dummy and they hit for the same. Had same gear on both (mainhand + offhand, no stance, no spec), the only difference was a few datacrons.

Both are within mercenary tooltip values, so my conclusion is that Hail of Bolts tooltip is bugged, but its damage is fine.
