Yep, that hut is hella bugged. I had that same problem with Jakarro, then later with Theron. From what I can tell it's not despawning them from their original standing place when you enter after the cutscene is over. So, like Jakarro gets up and walks over to talk to you, but... when you finish the cutscene he's now spawned where he was standing at the end, yet still sitting in his chair!
