berithlive
So when the game first came out the gave us one of the most spectacular, over the top cinematics I had ever seen. However wit the 2 expansion there was some ok cut scenes, but not the story driven cinematics that I enjoy watching over and over again. Besides the fact of the expense, does anyone know why they didn't do cinematics for the expansions?
SaveTheMonkeys
Probably isn't a reason aside from expense. Those cinematics were done by Blur Studios, who are one of the best studios in the world for that sort of thing.
berithlive
IF expanse is the answer. It is kind of lame there isn't a new one.
BenKatarn
Those Studio Blur cinematics supposedly cost one million dollars per minute. In it's current state, I think it would be a lot wiser to spend this amount of money on SWTOR's development, rather than its advertisement. I didn't realise it was that high, but I don't doubt your figures in the slightest. Its much easier to absorb costs like that during initial development, when they would've had millions set aside solely for advertising purposes. menofhorror
Still stupid to see how much they spent on those 5 minute cinematics when the game came out in such a state.
