But I have been thinking about playing him soon and giving him a whirl. I remember a long time ago they would have to cast grav round over and over before doing any damage. Is this still the case? LtBombshell Posted November 7, 2014 Share Posted November 7, 2014 The only ability that strictly requires TM spam to power up is Rail Shot. HSM only needs a single TM for the 45 second heat signature and Unload requires one TM every 8 seconds. If you fire off one TM at the start of the fight you can put RS, HSM and Unload all on cooldown afterwards without a single extra TM, although most people would prefer holding off on RS until your second TM for the extra 12% damage (assuming you have the Light 'Em Up talent). This exactly. The devs have (thankfully) steered the Arsenal merc rotation away from spamming the same ability over and over to a more diverse rotation with more options (3.0).
