For pilots that have excess ship / fleet requisition and have already got everything they need, can some sort of requisition sink be introduced? I was thinking of being able to purchase Legacy ships for use across our legacy. Unique paint schemes, and colors. Also now that we are getting fleet commendations could we also receive reputation for the Imperial First Mobile Fleet too as rewards for the daily / weekly? Edited by HobbesToo

Yeah, the whole character specific only / never legacy-wide in any way deal with the ships. Many of us have cried out against it since day one of GSF access.

Some ideas that I would throw out there on that point:

1) Add a new "Pilot Skill" section to the interface. This is the part that would be specific to each character and never shared across the legacy. It would contain a skill tree for each classification of ship (strike, scout, etc.) and each of those would look more like the ground game skill trees instead of looking like the little partial trees that we have on the component upgrades. Upgrades within these trees would have set prices requiring both some amount of fleet req and some amount of ship req pulled from any of the matching class of ships in that character's hangar. (These ship req costs could be pulled from multiple ships but they could not be supplemented with fleet req. Not enough ship req -> no purchase.)

2) Diminish the influence of gear components on a ship's stats. We can still select components and upgrade them to change the base stats on each ship, but at full upgrades in pilot skill and full upgrades in components a ship's extra stats compared to stock stats might be maybe 65% pilot skill and 35% gear. This skill+gear combo would bring stats up to about the same values as what ships currently reach from gear alone.

3) Implement two distinctions on ship ownership: personal hangar and legacy hangar. A character's personal hangar is exactly what we have currently. The legacy hangar contains copies of mastered ships from all (same faction) characters besides the one currently logged in. (If your character Bobby has a mastered Rycer, your characters Sally and Timmy will both see "Bobby's Rycer" listed in the legacy hangar. And if Sally has a mastered Blackbolt, Bobby and Timmy will both see "Sally's Blackbolt" listed in the legacy hangar.) Selecting to pilot a ship from the legacy hangar will disable options to change components, cosmetics, or crew from what the actual owner of that ship set them as. All ship req earnings that the legacy ship is supposed to receive from a match will be automatically downconverted into fleet req earnings. (Use the ~10% rate currently used to determine the fleet req earned in addition to ship req earnings. And calculate that standard fleet req gain before downconverting the legacy ship's ship req into additional fleet req.) Characters will not earn ship req towards legacy ships since they cannot upgrade them.

4) I'd also add a credits option for ship req -> fleet req conversion.

5) Random thought, values would need some tinkering for balance: Add an option to convert a large sum of fleet req (~10,000?) into a legacy bound grant for a small sum of ship req (~500 per personal ship?). This allows transfer of req between characters but with a hefty conversion fee. Aside from this method of transfer, ship req on personal ships and fleet req on each character would remain exactly as they are currently. There would be no legacy-wide pool of requisition added.

...

Aside from that, getting back to your ideas:

Yeah, some cosmetic options that don't cost cartel coins would be nice to see, and burning off some fleet req on them would be a way to go.

And with the reputation it would also be nice to see that expanded for the solo space campaign in general. (At the very least, put rep rewards on all missions that call for grade 5 or better instead of only having them for the "still crazy as **** even with all grade 7 gear" missions.) I'd do that on top of adding rep to the starfighter daily and weekly.

edit: On the legacy hangar part of my idea, really all that would happen is that when you click on a box to bring up that ship selection window you would see ships categorized as strike, scout, bomber, gunship, and legacy. The first four are exactly what they are currently. They show ships from that character's personal hangar. And then the new legacy category would list the legacy hangar ship options. These would also be listed separately in a new category in the ships tab.
