My reasoning is The Mandalorian Armor and Slave Ship were the first two non film version Star Wars novels I ever read, as I once got the first one for Christmas one year, and got the 2nd out of a library at school in the Air Force. It's now "Legends" - only the movies, Clone Wars TV show and all works released from this point forward are part of the "Canon" that the future works will be following. Hopefully they eventually start making more works in the Legends universe that includes the Bounty Hunter Wars, but there are no plans to do so at this time.
