Saito_Hiraga
Something weird happened to me today and I still want to know if this is supposed to happen... The story is this, I placed a dye on a robe and the item didnt get bounded to me, I can practically sell the colored item at the GTN since its not bounded yet... Here's a picture of the facts in case you dont beleive me... http://oi58.tinypic.com/2exsl6v.jpg Edited March 4, 2014 by Saito_Hiraga

My understanding is that if the mod (including dye mods) you place in an item isn't bound to you then it won't bind a shell to you (provided the shell isn't already bound to you obviously). Cernow
Yes it's normal. You'll sometimes see dyed iems on the GTN. Not often, because usually the dye is worth more sold separately, but it does happen. In a similar fashion you can sometimes find items on the GTN with an augment fited into the slot. Augmented items on GTN are most likely from a critical success on crafting the item.
