I actually have Allston, along with Michael Stackpole to thank for getting me into the EU in the first place with their X-Wing novels. That series still remains the best Star Wars novel series out there to me. It just seems fitting that the last SW novel he wrote was one last X-Wing book. Anyone have a personal favorite by him? I still think Starfighters of Adumar was his single best SW novel, and actually wasn't too big a fan of his Legacy and Fate of the Jedi work, but I'm not sure how much of that was actually him or how much was just the fact that the overall story wasn't all that great.
