Nebdar
Can someone explain what is the difference between RP servers and the other ones? I am mainly interested what Role-playing mean in the SWTOR world, how does it look like, what is all about? Do have something different then the other servers ? different dialog choice some extra options or missions?
Aehwe
Basically it is a server where people who enjoy roleplaying gather. PvP servers tend to get people who mainly focus on Player versus Player combat. PvE servers tend to get people who mainly focus on Player versus enviroment/NPC's without the fear of getting killed by every other player. There is nothing special to an RP server other than the atmosphere that the roleplayers create themselves. You will also often find less l33t n4m3s on an RP server. Aehwe
Yes The Progenitor is RP-PvE. The original RP-PvP server (Lord Calypho) had to throw in the towel when the player count dropped and servers merged. Unless you move into World PvP Areas you will be fine. Role-playing is making your character act, think and feel like they are actually a character in the star wars universe rather than a pixelated avatar on your computer screen. You give them a background, interests and values. You act out their life and perhaps their death. Role-playing is like creating your own story within the game world.
