Now I know why my core (mouse 4 and 5 - the side buttons are where my most handy abilities are) abilities might have not triggered. No, this is a separate issue to the false/double cooldowns aka ability failure. Try for yourself. Hold cursor over interface element (skillbar / ops frame / party frame) and try using an ability assigned to mouse 4 or 5 (or even shift + mouse 4 and 5). They just don't work when cursor is being over the interface. I found out about it when someone asked me for help and possible solution to the issue. It's good to know it, now I am going to be aware of it and have more advantage in PvP, being aware of this bug. Possible solution - use software (like Razer Synapse) which allows you to bind Mouse 4 and 5 to keyboard buttons. Cheers.
