Dulfys guides are really good because she actually sits down and takes the time to work things out. And not simply steal them from other sites. GSF isnt like the ground game at all. You just have to go into battle after battle, and put everything you learn into practice. In around 3 weeks, preferred players will get access to GSF so the player pool will be much bigger, and youll be playing against people of your own skill level due to matchmaking kicking in. Right now, everyone of every tier of skill is in the same bracket due to the low population. This means you will have fully mastered attacking you purely for the easy kill. Your best bet is to follow the pack to start with and start humping the nodes. These will get you 200-300 req per cap easily. Couple this with killing turrets and time spent at the node guarding it and you should come out with almost 1000 req per match. One golden rule in GSF though (if you aren't flying a mastered ship) is to Never chase runners away from the node. Even if you could kill them with one shot, you are taking defence away from the node and leave an open hole for the enemy to fit in and cap it. The matches are all about objectives. It is NOT a deathmatch. Edited December 28, 2013 by renegadeimp
Sharee
Do not use a strike fighter. Fly a novadive/blackbolt. Use light lasers, rocket pods(1st upgrade is a high priority), boost module, distortion shield, barrel roll engine(2nd upgrade is a high priority). Light armor, dampening sensors(also use treek for defensive crew member), damage capacitor, and speed thrusters. After getting the high priority items, max out dampening sensors first. Find a target(preferably an unmoving gunship, if not then a strike fighter already fighting someone else), fly straight at it all weapons blazing from 4km. If you get attacked, boost/barrel roll away. Do not get caught in turning competitions, you will get sniped by a gunship 15km away. Just hit and run. Oh, and use power settings(F1 F2 F3). Full weapons while you are shooting something, if not then full engines all the time. Edited December 28, 2013 by Sharee

One absolute basic thing you MUST master, especially if you fly a strike fighter or a scout are your power sets, what they do ( each setting does 2-3 things), and when to use them. renegadeimp
Power Sets - Roger cheers mate Np. Once you master using them, you will understand how powerful they actually are and they can change the outcome of a fight.
