Essentially, pay X amount of tokens to make the gear of your choice bound to legacy. Having 16 55's, I prefer to keep all my toons in legacy gear as much as possible, and it would be nice to have the ability to choose what gear is usable by all toons. That's something I'd gladly pay for. In spades. Possibly throw in a legacy level requirement or something so there's a factor of achievement as well. As of now you can pay extra coins to unlock to a single additional character or to Legacy, and in many cases that means additional real money coming into the game. If they do this with regular items it means that rare drop armoring can be shipped around instead of having to grind for it.
