pve powertech tank gearing help

I have finally decided to dust off my pt. I am having a friend craft me a full set of 66 purple mods armorings and enhancements. I am not sure what I should be aiming for stat wise though. I know shield and absorb should be higher than defense but how much higher should it be? If someone could list the names of the pieces I should have crafted, it would help a lot. Also what should I try to get for my relics, implants, and eearpice? Edited by kridlekid

Both of these are some good references for stat budgets (sum up the amount of each mitigation stat you're getting off of your gear currently, it shows you at that rough level how best to min/max allocate between the 3 tests). Basically what you need to be consider is your shield rating is never going to be traded out against defense/absorb. Those 2 are pitted against one another (except in the augment slots, wheere you could aug for any of the 3, or endurance). As PT you're going to typically want to augment a bit into shield rating to take advantage of your built in absorbtion boosts coming from the talent tree. Interms of early on you'll need moredefense from your mods and enhancements but at higher itemizations you'll move more of that over into absorb, as your need for def will be covered by the higher budgets of mitigation in individual pieces.

Hope that's helpful for getting you started on your journey!
