Post 2.0 Damage Proc Relics description AND effects bugged

With the incoming nerf to double serendipidous assault relics the following issue will become relevant:

Kell Dragon damage proc relics are better stats-wise than Dread Forged click relics on a straight up fight without burst phases.

 

The problem is: there is one relic missing and descriptions are all messed up.

There used to be 4 types of damage proc relics at the Dread Guard level pre-2.0 - one for tech/force classes and one "internal" that ignores armor and one "external" that gets armor mitigation.

 

  • Internal tech damage AKA dark radiance (210 internal tech damage)
  • Internal force damage AKA elemental transcendance (210 elemental force damage)
  • external tech damage AKA kinetic tempest (280 kinetic tech damage)
  • external force damage AKA cerulean nova (280 energy force damage)

 

Now these descriptions are quite straight forward and self explanatory. Internal relics have less damage but are better for most classes due to no armor mitgation. The differentiation in tech/force damage is very important as these Relic attacks can crit and tech classes only have around 10% force crit chance and vice-versa. So chosing the wrong relic (tech as force user (knight/warrior/consular/inquisitor) and force as tech user (smuggler/soldier/bounty hunter/agent)) makes you lose around 10% of damage depending on your crit and surge.

 

Now with the introduction of the new Arkanian/Underworld tier and reaching into the Kell Dragon tier (about the only one still relevant for BiS, as the new Dread Forged relics do no longer have these damage proc relics) there has been a mixup of relic types with the omission of one of the types (the internal tech) altogether!

  • Internal ??? AKA elemental transcendance (264 elemental force damage)
  • external ??? AKA kinetic tempest (352 kinetic force damage)
  • external ??? AKA cerulean nova (352 energy tech damage)

 

Note that not only suddenly energy damage seems to be tech damage but all other types of damage seem to be force damage. Dark radiance and elemental trancscendence even share their stats. We have confirmed with parses that this is NOT JUST A SIMPLE TYPO! Those relics all proc only with 10% crit chance on a commando barring cerulean nova which had around 30% crit. Pre 2.0 cerulean nova used to be force damage, now it is suddenly tech damage. I can't believe that this error is still in the game...

 

Now my question is: Will this be fixed? What happens to all the people who bought the wrong relics for their class? Does anyone even care? I filed an ingame bug report when 2.0 came out, did anyone bother to read that? After all, with the incoming nerf to double SA this is going to be important as those relics are way superior to crit proc and mainstat proc Dread Forged relics!
