Well we are going by over-all main design, not updates of the same vessel, we go by ship class and that is it, if we differentiated between upgrades it would become chaotic.

I think I'll cast my vote for the Viscount-class. Troll shields and the firepower to match.

Now this list...does each candidate HAVE to be a capital ship, i.e. dreadnought or super carrier? Or does it have to be the most powerful of that class? Or since there is already a number one (typically lists go from 10 to 1, not 1 to 10), does it have to less powerful than the aforementioned Assertor-class? Or are we just voting on the most powerful ships, regardless of what their class might be (but not smaller than a corvette/cruiser like you said), that we can find and can agree are formidable in their own right?

 

Pardon for the late questions, just stumbled over this thread. I didn't want to throw out a suggestion without a clear basis spelled out.

 

 

That aside, i agree on the Viscount-class chiefly on two things: The later ships (post prototype) were MASSIVE, friggin 17km long. Also, i dont think ive seen nearly that many guns on a ship before, the only thing i know of with as many guns (we're talking in the thousands) was both Death Stars.
