pchayka Posted August 22, 2013 Share Posted August 22, 2013 (edited) I've been playing since start of the game and it never really hit me, but now I'm kinda wondering: Why such developed and technologically accomplished world as The Galaxy with Empire and Republic which has advanced military and civilian tech at their disposal has the "Fog of War" which conceals the map until you discover it? Should the agent of Imperial inteligence for instance have a map or satellite imaging of any area he's going to? Shouldn't advanced technology provide the ability to actually know the way before you travel there? Why would we need the fog of war if nothing really changes on the map?
