A few ideas for some really nice items.

Hello, recently the Cartel market items have got me thinking 'why do people want them so much'? The answer is simple: vanity. Cartel items exist purely to make your character stand out and look unique, so what are the items people want most?

 

3 things.

 

• Weapons.
  
• Armour.
  
• Mounts.
  

 

EVERYONE loves animated stuff, look how much the Volatile Conqueror's lightsabers sell for each. People love things that shine and have flashy effects, it makes them all the more appealing. I have a few ideas for some new stuff.

 

-The new Vicious Assailant lightsaber hilts look brilliant, but their blade effects are BORING. People will pay massive amounts of money to get a really nice looking weapon with a sweet effect on it. Why not add some crackling, lightning sparks to the blade? Perhaps a slight fire effect relevant to the crystal in the weapon? Think outside the box and make something that looks awesome.

 

-The new animated armour sets look kinda cool but they're just rehashes of already existing armour bits with a minor animated effect added. Stop rehashing existing armour and make some entirely new sets that shine, glow, pulse, anything that gets people's attention.

 

-Everyone loves mounts, they're the main way of showing your status in the game. Some people ride Command Thrones and holochairs whilst others strive desperately to get such items. Not only will new, innovative and cool looking mounts make people buy more from the Cartel market, but it will keep the player base interested.

 

Basically, if you want people to spend more money in the Cartel market, ditch the boring looking items and replace them with something that looks brilliant, something that really catches the eye and says 'Look at this!'. THAT is how you get people to spend their money, and that's what the people want.

The Vicious Asailant Lightsaber isn't supposed to have an effect like the others. Please don't try to ruin it by adding an effect like them. It has the same cool sound as the Tythonian Force Masters and Ziost Guardians but it's deeper and cooler. I like it without the effect. Please leave it like that. Although the "effect" it has is cool, the cool humming it gives off when ignited. Leave it just like that.

A lot of us actually prefer the "boring looking" items. We like lightsabers that look like the ones in the movies, and plain brown robes that befit the ascetic lifestyle of a Jedi. We recall that Boba Fett's armor was all mismatched and battle-scarred and ugly, and that's why he looked cool. Some of the hottest-selling gear is also some of the plainest.

 

Now, don't get me wrong. I'm not saying don't put in any new glowy flashy disco shirts. I'm just saying, it's a big universe, and there's room enough for both. You don't have to hate on one thing to request another.
