tunewalker
Correct Commander. May I ask your suggestion Rayla, I decided to switch from Majestic to the Nebula but am unsure if that's a wise move you seem much more well versed in fleet tactics and thoughts then myself based on my other choices which do you think would be the better ship for me to have? tunewalker
Without a doubt, Nebula-class. You don't think its vunerable to fighter attacks? I guess its ok since I have a galactic-class carrier gives me some help in that regard, just cautious is all thanks for the assistance rayla. Edit: just a fun fact, another name for the Nebula/ Defender class star destroyer is the Obi-wan-class Star destroyer since the first of these ships was the Obi-wan. StarSquirrel
Nice! Cool new portrait Rayla. Alright guys, to those who haven't signed up yet DO IT. Fleet combat is awesome, and from the looks of it Rayla has spent a good bit of time and effort setting up a fun system to play with. I also expect some surprises that, at least imo, will make this a forum game you don't want to miss. To those of you who have submitted teams, ya'll are picking a lot of my 1st and 2nd round choices if I had gone Imp or GA and I like some oddball ships so I really look forward to seeing this play out. Silenceo
Hmm, well if we took your 1st and 2nd choices, why not try a faction that is universally different rather than just in name? For example, the Vong would be really interresting since no other faction has ANYTHING like their ships. If organic ships are not your thing, then you can try something exotic like Rakata's Infinite Empire. Though, another great one would be a faction that does NOT fight face to face like most of the others such as the Galactic Empire or the CIS. One such geurrila force would be the small, yet ever effective Rebel Alliance. From what i have seen, we have plenty of fleets that can exchange volleys with each other for long peroids of time, yet i do not yet see a faction signed up that has good black-ops that could be used very tactically to strengthen their own hold while obliterating their opponents. If you do not like guerrila tactics, there is still the possibility to have old empires from the old republic that will be un-capturable by enemies due to the tech gap. For example, you could use Revan's empire at its height, due to the rule set up the weapons will be augmented to be even. Each of those ships has a crapton of guns as well, since they are much smaller back in that era. So if they are boosted up, they could be pretty devistating with just how many guns they will be able to turn on each target. To sum it up, there are still plenty of diverse factions out there that are perfectly viable and will liven up the entire game due to making the other players unable to use the same tactics against said faction like they can another. Afterall, if each faction that is chosen has different strengths and weaknesses, it can get very interesting. For example, Faction A stomps Faction B, but Faction B is able to easily shove Faction C out of its territory. Faction C needs some where to go, so it invades Faction A, and takes over its world. Some ships that are great against one faction, could be TERRIBLE against another. Silenceo
updated my faction *page 16 if i remember right* with the new changes, please tell me if all the numbers are correct. I am unsure if my number of infantry is correct, and I changed a few things in my fleet so that may need to be checked as well *opted for the heavy corvette instead of light corvette*

LadyKulvax
k, where can i put my storm troopers then? You don't need extra stormtroopers, you have a basic garrison on each planet of either Stormtroopers or the Imperial Army, your main army is separate from this, these 5k per planet are defence forces for those planets, they can be increased or decreased at your leisure, the 25k of regular troops is an excess pool used to occupy taken worlds, if you used stormtroopers or a named legion you have 10,000. Beniboybling
A few queries: Do we get ground forces now? Any more clarification on the purpose and designation of chosen planets? Are we to choose a commander? I'm just wondering how tactical ability/tactics employed will be decided.

Are we to choose a commander? I'm just wondering how tactical ability/tactics employed will be decided. Only for the purpose of defence in the case of invasion or to use as an invasion force for an enemy planet. No commanders at all, the Ground Forces if a named unit, have that as a commander, fleets won't work the same way, I want to avoid the use of 'x' tactician is better than 'y' tactician so your numbers don't matter. Planets will work as resources for ship building, recruitment centres and last stand planets. Edited August 1, 2013 by LadyKulvax

LadyKulvax
Not at all, but you will have to get a specific number for them, that is quite needed. Edited August 1, 2013 by LadyKulvax
Silenceo
K, what is your suggested *fair number* of dark troopers? *Phase II* and will there be any way to replenish them, since i do not control the arc hammer? Or would the arc hammer count as their transport ship? *very unlikely* Edited August 1, 2013 by Silenceo

Silenceo
Hmmm, Wolf doesn't seem to be accepting messages atm....so i can't send him a message asking about the dark troopers phase II In regards to the orbital facilities, the one over Raxus Prime is only mentioned in the Force Unleashed story, and many discredit those games validity, so should we count it or no? LadyKulvax
Ground Forces Army- Mandalorian Neo Crusaders (lets say 25,000 plus 5,000 per world as fair right?) I am not certain the Neo Crusaders are cannon fodder enough to be considered fair at 25,000, I think 10,000 is more suitable.

How about 15,000? They showed great stupidity at times so I'm hesitant to call them in any way elite troops.
