Bioware/EA should really do what "Pirates of the Burning Sea" did, you could be any character name or legacy name you want, just as long as it isn't a complete match on the same server. Example: John (character name) Smith (legacy name) can co-exist on the same server as John Bishop or Jack Smith, just as long as they aren't exact duplicates, there cannot be two John Smiths on the same server etc. Edited June 6, 2013 by RaithHarth Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Personally, I think that people who pay for a character rename should be allowed to claim names of characters that belong to players who are no longer active subscribers. I lost my original character name during a brief lapse in my subscription (which also coincided with server merges), and since then, I've always wanted to get it back.
