AlexDougherty Posted May 17, 2013 Share Posted May 17, 2013 There are too many threads that start with an Opening Post that takes up half the screen, and most of them can and should be summarised into three short paragraphs. In fact several that I've read could be summarised into one sentence. I don't want to read twenty minutes worth of text just to find out if they care about what the thread is about, and I'm sure other people don't either, start short and when the thread gets going, then post the long block of text. Please just summarise, avoid the segues, and cut the long quotes, if you are going to include a story about what happened only write about what's relevant, and for crying out loud keep it short.
