It has both a very unique look, has lore support (lots of it actually), and allows for more customization then is currently in the game. It's essentially the "skirt" worn by the ARC commandos during the Clone Wars, but it is of Mandalorian origin, so it could be worked into the timeline here. Some people may not like the "butt capes" on certain armours, but personally I would like to add them to some armours that are lacking them. Adding Kama's as a waist/belt would fix this issue. This could actually be a rather cool belt for Bioware to add to the game. Now there would be issues with clipping, so it would be restricted to only being combined with certain chestpieces, but on the whole adding a Kama would allow for more diversity in looks. It would also allow for a nice "hood down" look for some Jedi and Sith characters who could combine it with heavy armour chestpieces to get just the look that they want.
