Where does the damage come from?

Hey guys!

Since the start of 2.0 I, of course, hopped on pvp like crazy and played dozens of matches with different classes and specs. Everyone who played it must have noticed a shorter TTK and bigger damage, bolster changes and a number of other things making warzones quite a different experience than they were before. My request right now is for someone to clarify one important thing, as I'm not entirely sure on the nature of this one: where do these huge damage values come from? What I'm talking about right now is certain skills which have always been hard hitters when done right: Hidden Strike on operatives, Hib/Rail Shot on Vg/pt, Heatseeker Missiless on commando/merc and this list might be greatly expanded, but these three are enough to make an example. From the warzones I've ran, all of these skills are capable of hitting for 7.2-7.8k damage, basically close to 8k. While doing my testing, I maintain maximum expertise values (at least the tooltip says so). If I switch to my vanguard, for example, I can easily HIB people for 7k-7.5k dmg most of the time. Turbulence and Telekinetic Wave on Sage delivers equite equal damage values pretty often. And that is really strange and I feel as if I'm missing something: evidently with the new bolster most of the people are running the maximum expertise, thus it is effectively canceled out. Even if it's not, with bolster in effect, the differences shouldn't be more than about 7%. In terms of bonus damage the increase was about 100-200 points compared to what I had in 1.7 which is fair and with the best scaling it's about 400-550 additional damage to a skill (more often it's considerably lower though). Base skill damage doesn't seem to have been adjusted in most cases as well and this is where I'm confused: taking all of the aforementioned into consideration, I'm not sure how most of the skills saw a 50% increase in their damage. Previously my hidden strike on an operative averaged at 4.8k with 5k-5.1k being quite a rare sight, My average railshot stayed at about 4.9k with above 5k hits being common, but not THAT common for the average to get in there. And I'm not even going in Turbulence which has always been in the "barely above 4k" range. Considering all what's been said above I don't see how most of the skills got their 50% increase to damage, does anyone of you guys have any insight?:)

Thanks!
