The middle tree for operatives allows for about 5-6 rolls at a time starting from full energy, with an additional 3 rolls if you use your energy recover ability after the 6 rolls. I would actually recommend using the probe to recover energy after 2-3 rolls because energy regen is better with higher energy levels I think. For snipers, its 1 roll every 20 seconds, but you roll farther than operatives and land in cover, 3 second entrench if MM sniper after the roll.
