Brutus Posted February 12, 2013 Share Posted February 12, 2013 When I look at the tooltip on Guard, it seems to indicate that the range doesn't matter except for when redirecting PvP damage, but I was grouped with someone who insisted that it has a limited range regardless. So I refer to the title question - what is the range of the PvE components of Guard? I like to guard the best geared dps, but if there truly is a limited range for the threat/damage reduction component, then I'll start guarding strictly melee dps I guess... Marb Posted February 12, 2013 Share Posted February 12, 2013 (edited) The range referred to in the tooltip, and the debuff that pops up when you are out of a players guard range refer to the PvP damage split component from other players. The damage reduction has no range restriction (tested in tfb), but I'm not sure about the threat reduction. My initial combat log inspection indicated that it does work outside of 30m.
