I am about to invest in my war hero gear so before i do that i was wondering what is better in pvp. i felt like tanks did little damage and dies anyways without heals so i was thinking tactics or hybrid or mixing gear, i dunno ! i need some suggestions! NurseDonut Posted December 17, 2012 Share Posted December 17, 2012 (edited) Even when tanking in PVP, it's good to be wearing DPS gear. Shielding doesn't work very well in PvP. So, I'd recommend getting the combat tech set either way. The combat tech set bonus works decently well with either tactics or shield spec (+.5 sec to PBAoE stun and +15% crit on stock strike). Then, respecs are free. So play whichever you feel like playing that day. After a while you'll figure out which you prefer, and then you can start tweaking gear to that end. PS: Also, running a tactics build in ion cell might be an effective middle ground for you. You are tough, can guard, and can do a reasonable amount of damage.
