Infinity_Forever
Well as the title says my question is just that. I tried searching online to no avail and can't seem to find the answer anywhere. I doubt I'm the first to even ask this. If it's only for one character on an account then I see no point of even buying any of the items, hense why I'm asking.
Driftwood_D
I can't speak for all items, but I just spent all my CC on ship upgrades (total waste of credits, but that's another thing) and it only applied to the character I was logged in on. So... I spent 2K plus CC to buy upgrades that ONLY apply to the character I was logged in as. I'd have to be subbed for another couple of years to equip all my toons using CC, or pay cash... Infinity_Forever
Well that pretty much sucks...I don't see any point in buying anything from the market then.
Rankyn
Some do, some don't. The item tooltip will say if it's account-wide.
Vlacke
Well that pretty much sucks...I don't see any point in buying anything from the market then. What did you expect, to buy a set of armor (hypothetically) which will then magically appear on all 12 of your characters?
Thehellfire
What did you expect, to buy a set of armor (hypothetically) which will then magically appear on all 12 of your characters? Exactly its what most other mmos with cash shops do. Only the greedy ones (read Bioware and Funcom) sell stuff not account bound.

How is this any weirder, than it magically appearing on just one character?
Andryah
Exactly its what most other mmos with cash shops do. Only the greedy ones (read Bioware and Funcom) sell stuff not account bound. It's not true for items in LoTRO or DDO. Some unlocks yes (just like here), but not all unlocks and not gear. So.. I guess they are all greedy then, eh? Also, there is a difference between "account bound" and "account wide". The OP was asking about account wide. Nothing in this MMO is actually "account bound" ... only "legacy bound"... since you cannot move gear accross servers, but you can have account characters on multiple servers. Some cartel market unlocks though are "account wide". Edited December 12, 2012 by Andryah
VanguVegro
Show me a company that isn't greedy and I'll show you an imminent bankruptcy. Edited December 12, 2012 by VanguVegro
Infinity_Forever
Well the main reason for my posting was to find out if those Life-Day items were account-wide. Something like that in my opinion should be, they're just seasonal items and the armor isn't the type to be used in battle.

SOE doesn't give you most items for all characters. I'm not aware of any game that makes all items account bound.
Polebreaker
Similar question... and unanswered in the support forum... the cartel emotes USED to say they would unlock the emote for all characters on the account. Then it was put on known issues that this wasnt working... but no details as to what part wasnt working. Now, the emotes say they are per-character... is this intended? And if so, kind of bait and switch with zero warning...
