We want Duel Spec!

Now that the respec is free for Subs, this should be no problem to implement, even if Duel spec is just for subs, I know it would save me a lot of time, even a lot of my guildies respect all the time. I switch from healer for PVP to DPS for PVE, would be very nice if we recieve this.

Please implement dual talent specializations. I feel that it would be a huge quality of life improvement for me. Here are a few of my opinions on how it could be put into the game.

 

1.) Make it a subscriber-only, reasonably priced, bought with credits, and tied to Legacy ability.

2.) Make it purchasable using Cartel Coins for non-subscribers.

3.) Do not make it take the place of the field respec/fleet respec option.

4.) Each specialization should also have quick bar layouts associated to it, so that all hot keys change when you change spec.

5.) Gear sets tied to each specialization would be a nice bonus.

 

Here are some pros and cons from my perspective.

 

Pros:

Quick swapping of talents

Allows interested players to easily fill more group roles

Prevents me from having to ask my group to "hold on while I switch specs" every time I get into a group

Limits embarrassment of forgetting to place a crucial ability on your quick bar

Could potentially encourage players to try out new roles, if they know they can quickly switch back

 

Cons:

Could encourage some players to roll on more gear for their off-spec

May add some additional pressure on players to play roles they don't enjoy
