kangaxxter
The Tomb of the Unknown Trooper There is a Corusanti pillar That mourns the honored dead Cast from Mando’a iron So it can be forever read It bears tribute to the many but its inscription is the same “Here lies a fallen hero, A trooper of unknown name” Oh tell me, unknown trooper, why did you fight your fight? Were you a great idealist and died for what was right? Did you take up arms for duty answered the Republic’s call? For what reason did you struggle And why did you give your all? Did you fight aboard a starship, when it came to a final stand? Or did you fight the Empire on foot and hand to hand? Were you buried at your station when your ship crashed on icy Hoth? Are you lost with Belth Allusis, still where the Empire cut you off? Were you slain above Begeren, or were bombarded on Manaan? Or were you taken by surprise in the sky above Korriban? Did you keep your weapon ready? Was your trusty blaster clean? Are you lost far among the stars, or were you killed on Dantooine? Do you keep a restful slumber since your life has long since gone? Is your spirit still tormented? Were you avenged on Alderaan? These are answers that the living could never hope to learn, For you are forever with your brothers in a rest that’s been well earned. And at this Mando’a iron pillar, watchmen forever keep the night, for your war is never over, there is still evil left to fight.
