What stat affects bleed dmg? is it based purely off your weapon stats? or is it off str?

What does the stat "power" affect? No one seems to be able to answer this, or if I ask in general I get trolled =\

thanks.

You probably got trolled because you were asking in the wrong forum, and there have been a ton of threads across a ton of boards (and not just at swtor.com) which answer these questions.

However, to be a nice guy:

1) Bleeds are affected by Force bonus damage. Force bonus damage is increased via Force Power (from weapon hilts), Strength, Willpower, and Power. Willpower is not worth putting onto gear, however obtaining Willpower datacrons is a worthwhile way to increase the damage of your bleeds slightly.

2) Power affects melee bonus damage and Force bonus damage. One point of Power, before buffs, adds .23 bonus damage. It has no diminishing returns, so it always has the same effect no matter how much Power you already have.

In practice, Power can only be interchanged with Crit Rating (for Marauder, anyway), and at 50, ~100-329 Crit Rating is the ideal range due to how that stat's diminishing return curve works. Below 50, you generally just want to get the most offensive stats (Strength, Power, Crit Rating, Accuracy Rating, Surge Rating) possible on each piece of gear and not worry so much about the numbers.

Because of the "ideal" range for Crit Rating, a fully-geared Marauder at level 50 has well over 1000 Power. It takes a while (and a lot of Black Hole gear) to get there, but that should give you some sense of how useful it is.
