Macroecon Posted September 7, 2012 Share Posted September 7, 2012 (edited) Overall I think Arsenal still got buffed. Just not as much as was needed. The KB vs. root dynamic is not one sided. There are times when the root will be better. There are times when it will be worse. The unfortunate aspect is that while everyone today focuses on KB vs. root when fighting melee dps, by the time 1.4 rolls out you will need to spend a lot more time contemplating how to fight concealment oriented dps. And vs. those guys, the root is WORTHLESS. This is something the BH community does not yet understand, but tears are going to FLOW over this. The people who think that Pyro broke even by having ElectroDart nerfed while gaining an interrupt don't really understand how the class behaves. The interrupt helps you zilch vs. melee dps who are your main threat. Correspondingly having the interrupt helps you when you are attacking healers? Uh, not when the vast majority of healer are op/smuggies. To kill those guys you still need to stun them once they hit 30% health. And guess what? Your stun got nerfed. Now you have to get in close and even a slight miscalculation is going to bring you within the op/smuggies potent stun inventory. Or he will just stealth out, since his CD on that got reduced by 50%. Make no mistake, in net the Merc Pyro got nerfed. Again. At least the Bodyguard made out well. The range nerf of ElctroDart harms the Bodyguard least since it is just a defense mechanism for him vs. close range attackers anyway.
