Getting the Vindicator set bonus for Marauders

Can someone explain how this works to me? I don't want to mess up when I start buying BM gear.

 

I assume you buy the schematic box for Weaponmaster, buy the BM Vindicator set, rip out the mods, put it in the empty Weaponmaster set?

its not that easy, set bonus for bm are attached to the armor itself, not the armoring. you need to buy the bm vindicator then the war hero vindicator , then transfer those those wh mods and armoring to some medium armor

Ah I think I partially understand now.

 

So the flow is:

 

1) Buy Vindicator BM Set.

2) Upgrade to Vindicator WH set.

3) Buy the rated (empty) medium armor WH set.

a) Can you buy an empty medium armor set that isn't rated? Not really sure what those schematic boxes contain.

4) Rip the upgrades from the Vind WH set and put into the empty medium armor.

You can put the war hero armor mod into any medium or adaptive modable piece and get the bonus, doesn't have to be a PvP shell. But the rest of the process is correct.
