Moaky
The problem is twofold, firstly the amount of work all the voice overs would take for a new class, plus the work of adding an exclusive 200 hour unique class story from level 1 to 50. The 2nd problem is that if you don't do the voice overs and the class story then a large section of your player base will not but it if they are F2P and rage unsub if they are P2P. There are plenty of people begging for new class stories, players that were drawn to this game because of those stories and voice overs, releasing a class without one would be another nail in the coffin. I think the best you can expect is a splitting of the the advance classes for more specialist roles, that said I would love to see a traditional pet class in this game. That is what a legitimate paid expansion is for. EQ was kicking us paid updates every 6ish months back when WoW was being launched. Granted they didnt ship completed, but that was a steady diet of new things to do. IMO that is the way for the company to make money, and give your PVE folks plenty to keep from being bored. I really dont see how it would be that hard to add new starter worlds/classes anyways. General quests after the starter world uses pretty much generic conversation pathing after the initial greeting. If the original VO actor isnt available, just redo their part. Not many characters outside the main story branch are heard for more than a quest or so, so it isnt like it is intensive work to redo with the added new classes. The starter planets for these new classes just need to be made the same way as they currently are......IE A sith wont find many(if any) starter quests on Hutta. If they expansion is adding end game worlds, then you are looking at new recordings for all classes anyways. Had the game waited to launch until ready, these are the types of things they would of been working on since launch instead of filling in group finder etc.
