Bearded_Assassin
I've had a quick look on google for the answer to this question and apparently they don't, though the most recent thread I could find discussing this was in march. Has anything changed since then? Also, how do they... well, work, if there's no brackets? I would imagine there's a lot of one-shotting that goes on. In WoW (sorry for the over-used comparison) you sortof treated everyone on the opposing team as an equal threat - sure, you went after lower levels for an easier kill, but you knew that they'd at least be able to hit you back. Do you just run for your life all the time if you're not very high level?
Russlem
There are 2 brackets: 1-49 and 50. In the 1-49 bracket all players are bolstered to level 50 which means their stats and gear is scaled according to their level. The big advantage to being higher level is having more talents/skills, but your stats are the same.

dosadnik
Russlem is totally right. However one small correction - It's lvl 49 that everyone is bolstered to.
Occide
And also obviously the better gear you have, the more damage you can put out. For example someone in fully modded purples with two fully modded sabers is going to put out more damage than a level 10 in quest greens with an unmodded saber, simply through the gear difference. BlameSociety
And another little correction: it's lvl 10-49. You can't join WZs before lvl 10.
budoy
And also to add, upon reaching 50 you need to purchase the recruit set pvp gear it will probably cost you 300k in game credits..
BlameSociety
And also to add, upon reaching 50 you need to purchase the recruit set pvp gear it will probably cost you 300k in game credits.. Since 1.3 you get it for free once you ding 50. You can then choose one of the 2 sets for your AC or 320k credits if you don't need the gear. Just pick it up at the PVP quest terminal.
