Character Creation is Poor

I don't know how many people have looked at the holonet in this website, but if you did and you looked at the holonet you might just notice something. The faces on some of the models, their more defined and edited.

Heres an Example: http://www.swtor.com/holonet/classes/jedi-knight

Take a look at the first picture of the jedi knight. If you look real close you can see what I mean. However something else pops out a little more than the face construction. The knight's hair is smoothly parted and not cramed together like a cheap drawing. Also his eyes are slighty darkened around the edges. That model looks better than any character I've seen.

Customized Hybrid

Looking at the same model. His head seems to be a hybrid of the human faces 1, 2, and maybe a little of 3. When I looked at this game a year ago during the developer walkthrough, I heard the word "abstract". Bioware said their game would feature abstract graphics not to be out-shined by a newer MMO. Which is a superb idea. Again if you look at the two imperial models, heros, whatever in the developer walkthrough they have features that I the player do not.

Legacy

Legacy is a great unique feature in swtor and what better way to leave a mark on the galaxy than distinct character features like Anakin's scar in episode III. Being very social many people I asked agree that character customization is cheap, however people put up with it because the game is simply star wars.

Solution, Conclusion, sumary etc...

Small details go a long way. I am not at all saying change models, but allow editing when creating a new character. Human face 4 has a slight ridge in the middle of the nose give me feature to straighten or sharpen the nose. Along with the avalibility to combine faces to make hybrids and furthermore personalize the star wars experince. The massive hours spent in swtor should not be for me trying to find a mask to hide a rather unpleasent face, but to enjoy the character created by the player and to actually make use of the hide helmet feature.
