Was wondering if anything changed and if so, what should I put my points into. I primarily PVP with a little FP thrown in. Omophorus Posted June 18, 2012 Share Posted June 18, 2012 For PUG games, Annihilation is still top dog, and it's still one of the best dueling specs in the game. The changes in 1.2 made both Rage and Carnage significantly more competitive, and Carnage has a ton of utility for organized play. So, long story short, if you mostly solo-queue, stick with Annihilation. If you mostly queue with friends (including a healer!), consider trying Carnage as an alternative. Rage has much better on-demand AoE burst than it used to, but it doesn't compare in single-target damage to either other spec, doesn't have Annihilation's survivability, or Carnage's utility. It's not a bad spec by any stretch, and others probably like it much more than I do, but I've just yet to find a situation where I preferred it to another option. Now I have to find a new server, since they allowed server transfers on my server and last time I logged in there was 4 people in the Imperial Fleet, lol.
